Haigs Bar & Restaurant was originally constructed as a tavern in the 18th Century and during the course of its lengthy life span it has predominantly been utilised as a Tavern with no real historical record of this ever proving to the contrary. D2 were engaged to produce designs for a much improved high-end bar & restaurant facility. This resulted in the demolition of the existing building and construction of a new two storey modern facility to incorporate a greatly increased restaurant space and increased welfare facilities along with a state of the art Kitchen.
D2 were engaged to design a hot-desk office facility in Edinburgh within a disused former print works. The design included numerous hot desk areas, a reception area, a one to one room, Kitchen facilities and improved sanitary provisions.
The facility provides valuable desk and space hire for anyone seeking workspace at short notice, be it travelling business workers or locals alike. Each workspace also offers high-speed internet connection, printing facilities and complimentary tea, coffee and toast for all users.
The brief for this project was to create a £1.2m manufacturing, research and development and storage facility for a multi national client.
This facility included numerous manufacturing rooms, staff facilities, research and development rooms and delivery facilities to cater for the client’s ever expanding business.
D2 were engaged to form designs for the conversion of a three storey office building situated within the centre of Leith into seven new luxury residential apartments. Having undergone a significant transition in the last 20 years, Leith has greatly benefited from residential developments of this nature as well as the commercial enhancements and it is very much hoped that the proposed development will further contribute to the regeneration of the Leith.
Our remit for this project was to assist in converting a previously empty office suite into a bustling hub for a large global firm – complete with R & D & sales departments, games rooms and countless board rooms. The suite offered large, open expanses which the client wished to retain.
The primary challenge to the team on this project was a very tight programme of works which left little maneuverability. As such D2 ensured that a large site presence was in place at all times often resulting in coordinating countless different exercises on site concurrently.
d2 were enaged to design numerous fit outs for the e-liquid specialist Vaporized in Glasgow city centre and Edinburgh. The internal spaces incorporated sales/servery areas and designated chill out areas to offer patrons a relaxing environment to sample some of the wide range of e-liquids on offer in the premises.
