The client's early 20th century cottage boasted an expansive amount of garden ground to the rear of the property. The brief for this project was simply to endeavour to bring the outside……in!

With the rear of the property facing due south and with no neighbouring properties to this side, the site offered a generous amount of natural daylight exposure.

The decision was to create an extension that maximised the use of the panoramic views to the rear within a modern design incorporating modern materials and a state of the art frameless glazing system. We also acknowledged sympathy towards the existing house and its surroundings by use of natural stone to the west (boundary) wall to create a continuous natural stone treatment of this elevation.
