This project comprised of a full refurbishment of a late night bar in Dundee City Centre. The fixtures & finishes represent a successful marriage of styles incorporating hints of industrial, bohemian and urban modern design throughout. The project was successfully delivered by main Contractor Pride Commercial Interiors who's professionalism, conscientious approach and attention to detail ensured a successful delivery.
This collectable store retail fit out for our client Anime Gallery at the St Enoch Centre saw the inclusion of many interesting themed finishes and fittings contributing to a fantastic interactive shopping experience for collectors of all ages.
D2 were comissioned to design a modern state of the art office development for a long standing commercial firm in West Lothian. The premises included numerous open plan office spaces and individual offices, restaurant, meeting rooms, reception area and break out spaces.
D2 obtained Planning approval for a new build facility in a busy Town Centre as part of the ongoing Town Redevelopment proposals. We worked closely with the client and the planning department to ensure we delivered a proposal that featured high quality materials, contemporary design and made use of a very awkward site whilst remaining sympathetic to the local vernacular.
D2 were engaged to design a five house residential development in the local mining town of Newtongrange. The design of the house types within the development site were born from the traditional mining cottage ethos. The design reflects the scale and form of the traditional mining cottages whilst predominantly incorporating the use of more modern material finishes such as smooth cement render, timber cladding and aluclad doors and windows to breathe an element of modernity into the finished house types.
D2 were engaged to design a residential housing development on the site of an agricultural farm building complex on the outskirts of Edinburgh. Over the years the existing structures had fallen into a significant state of disrepair and required to be demolished. The proposed development consisted of nine new build three bedroom houses and the retention and conversion of one of the farm buildings into two houses.
D2 have undertaken a wealth of projects for recognised international commercial restaurant/café franchises throughout Scotland and further afield. This Ice cream parlour in the old town of Edinburgh represents a small sample of the D2 portfolio.
D2 were commissioned to design the conversion of an existing B listed garage building located within a mews street in the Marchmont area of Edinburgh.
D2 were engaged to design the full reconfiguration of a former sandwich shop in the bustling Lothian Road Area of Edinburgh city centre and form a new traditional fish and chip restaurant.
The proposals incorporated a new state of the art cooking range and servery within the front restaurant area that caters for both sit in diners and those wishing to utilise the takeaway option.
The rear quarters of the premises house the new and improved kitchen layout with new sanitary facilities for patron use. Works were completed in early 2018.
D2 were engaged by the Church of Scotland to investigate numerous options pertaining to one for their ageing community church hall facilities which was experiencing significant subsidence within a particular area of the building. The three options comprised of the removal of predominantly affected section of the building and construction of a new extension to incorporate new modern facilities. The second option was to remove the affected section of the building and construct independent modular facilities adjacent to the main building
